What happens if I need extra care in a retirement village?

How you can enjoy an independent lifestyle together with in-home care

Andrew Carins, General Manager at Renaissance Retirement Living: “Extra care and support might not be top-of-mind for you at this point in time; but in the future it may be something of concern. The residents that are chatting in our next video wanted that in the environment that they chose to live in during their retirement.”

Access the level of care you need, when you need it

“When moving in here, we're all thinking about the rest of our lives. And whilst none of us here fortunately need care or attention – we are quite capable of living independently – as we get older and we get less healthy than what we are now, obviously we are going to need some sort of help.”

“You know when I first moved in, I didn't really give it that much thought because I was fairly young but now as I'm getting older I am thinking about it more.”

New call-to-action

“I didn't give it a thought. I've been here now for nearly nine years so when I came in I was just interested in the lifestyle. But now nine years later, yes I'm beginning to think about it and it's a great comfort to my children to know that I'm here and if anything happens there's some way I can go.”

Access in-home care at a retirement village

“You can access care in your home. If you need to go into low key or high care. It's all facilitated here.”

“And even in the extreme cases we have Marabello just over the back fence. We already have residents here who go and visit their partner in Marabello from time to time.”

New call-to-action

“And it's good to know that management will help you liaise with Marabello to sort out paperwork and when there's a place available you can have it.”

“And so it's one of the other reasons why we can really look forward to living here for the rest of our lives.”
